PG Students Scholarship program: Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata has invited applications for the Debesh-Kamal Scholarship for Higher Education / Research Abroad.
Students who wish to pursue higher education abroad or to do research can apply for it.
Indian citizens will be given scholarships without discrimination of caste and religion. Selected students will get a scholarship. The scholarship amount will be Rs 1 lakh which will be for one year only.
There is very little time left to apply for this PG Students Scholarship. If you want to apply for this scholarship, then hurry up because you have to apply offline for this. The application form may take time to reach.
Any Indian citizen can apply for this PG scholarship. Candidates must have passed first-class marks at the postgraduate level. Age should not be more than 30 years.
This scholarship will be given only to those students who are studying or doing research abroad. In this regard, they have to submit proof that they are doing a course or doing research work at a big university or equivalent educational institute abroad.
Applicants will also have to submit a blueprint of their research project which has been approved by the concerned university or institute.
Selected candidates will get a scholarship of Rs 1 lakh for one year. This scholarship will be available only for one year, which alone will not be sufficient for studying abroad. In such a situation, the candidates will have to submit proof that they have sufficient financial resources or support to study abroad.

Applicants will have to send the completed application form. Attested passport size photographs will have to be submitted.
Also, a bank draft of 100 rupees has to be sent which is made in the name of the secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata. Also, attested photocopies of certificates and mark-sheets have to be submitted.
Candidates will be shortlisted only after first evaluating the application form. The candidates will then have to appear for an interview before a selection committee at the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata. The selection committee’s decision in the selection of a student will be final.
The last date for application is May 01, 2020.
Other Rules and Regulations:
The application fee is 100 rupees which will not be refunded. Preference will be given to those studying or doing research in Humanities and Basic Science.
But preference will also be given to students in other disciplines such as Social Sciences and Applied Science and Technology.
Shortlisted candidates will have to bear the cost of commuting. But candidates coming for interviews from more than 100 kilometers will be given second class railway fare.
